Book Swap @ Nickajack!
What: Spring Book Swap
When: April 15th - April 19th
Where: Media Center
Book Collection: today thru March 29th
What you need to know:
How does it work?
Students bring in paperback or hardcover children’s books that meet the criteria outlined below. Each donation of 2 or more books will earn the student 2 tickets to shop at the swap in April. A donation of 1 book will earn 1 swap ticket. Any extra books (yes, please and THANK YOU) will be offered to students that may not be able to donate but would like to participate in the swap. We are hoping to collect enough books so that all Nickajack students can participate.
Book donations must be labeled: name of the donating student and their classroom teacher’s name. All donations should be brought to the Media Center. Please send students to the Media Center 7:15-7:50 to deliver their donations. Each student in a family must donate different books to earn swap tickets. We will keep a record of donations and swap tickets earned.
During the week of the swap students that donated books will be invited to shop using their earned tickets. I will send individual teachers a list of their students and a specific day and time they should come to the Media Center to shop. If there are any remaining books after our donors have shopped we will invite additional students to shop -which students will depend heavily on what types of books remain, i.e. picture books vs. chapter books, etc.
